Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how billing, cancellations, and refunds work for paid Recurex plans. Recurex is operated by Genii IT Services Private Limited (“Genii IT”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Plans and billing

Recurex offers a free plan and optional paid plans (such as Pro and Team). Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis - monthly or annually - through our payment provider, Razorpay. Prices are shown before checkout in INR or USD based on your region.

By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us, through Razorpay, to charge the applicable fee to your selected payment method at the start of each billing cycle until you cancel.

2. Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from Settings → Billing inside the app. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively reverse charges that have already been billed.

When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your workspace automatically moves to the free plan. You will not be charged again unless you re-subscribe.

You can also stop using the service at any time. Downgrading or cancelling may make certain paid features and data views unavailable, though your underlying expense data is retained on the free plan subject to any applicable plan limits.

3. Refunds

Because Recurex is a digital service billed in advance, subscription fees are generally non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, or features you did not use.

We may, at our discretion, issue a refund in cases such as:

  • A duplicate or accidental charge for the same billing period
  • A technical billing error on our side that charged you incorrectly
  • A charge that was made after a valid cancellation took effect
  • A failure on our part to deliver the core paid functionality, where the issue is attributable to us and not resolved within a reasonable time

Refund requests should be made within 7 daysof the charge in question. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Razorpay and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

4. Free plan and trials

Our free plan lets you evaluate Recurex before paying. Where a free trial of a paid plan is offered, you will not be charged during the trial, and you may cancel before it ends to avoid being billed. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the plan converts to a paid subscription at the then-current price.

5. Price changes

We may change plan prices or features over time. If a change affects your active subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice. Any new price applies from your next billing cycle - continuing to use a paid plan after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

6. How to request a refund

To request a refund or ask a billing question, email us from the email address associated with your Recurex account so we can verify your identity. Please include “Refund request” in the subject line, along with the date and amount of the charge and a short description of the issue.

We aim to respond to billing and refund requests within a reasonable time after receiving the necessary details.
